In the age of sonic and visual perfection, DEUX takes a step backwards and celebrates the retro beauty of analog video. This tape features two recent livestream concerts broadcast from my studio in Baltimore. Both gigs included on DEUX were shot, edited and produced with vintage video equipment and analog video synthesizers. Visually, DEUX recalls the classic early 80’s Double Vision or Industrial Records video cassette releases.
This video cassette is housed in a hard shell style VHS case with full colour artwork and is strictly limited to 20 hand numbered copies. When they’re gone that’s it.

L’Avenir is back with Requiem, the fourth full-length album for Barcelona’s Cold Beats Records. Requiem finds L’Avenir visiting themes of alienation, postmodernity, and spiritualism while expanding the sonic palette far beyond his minimal synth beginnings. The music of L’Avenir has often been compared to 4AD-era Clan of Xymox or mid-period Depeche Mode. But while echoes of the former can be heard, L’Avenir brings a uniquely fresh perspective unheard in other bands of the genre. Requiem features eight new songs and is available on limited edition blood red vinyl and compact disc. The CD version features the full LP plus the bonus album L’Avenir – Live, recorded at various concerts across the U.S. in 2019.

I’m pleased to announce the release of Another Cold World 2. This new various artists compilation features the new and exclusive L’Avenir track Lilac Wind. Cold Beats Records are now taking orders for the CD via their Bandcamp page. In addition, a split vinyl release with minimal wave master Silent Signals will be available Fall 2018 on Eins:Zwei:Acht.
